About

Deb MallettIf I could be a tree, I’d be a Mountain Ash. That tree has it all – ferny-ish leaves that turn colour in the fall, white flowers in the spring, bright red berries in the fall that give us colour throughout the winter snow. It’s hardy, loves the sun, and feeds the birds to boot.

I like to think I have some of those qualities. Hardy and hard working, love learning and growing, and can help nourish your business. Plus I’m a data geek. Which is helpful in a business that specializes in analytics assistance. And which has nothing, unfortunately, to do with trees.

Mountain Ash BerriesIn my background I have many years experience in programming, building database systems, designing complex spreadsheets, and providing a wide variety of other computer and administrative services. To me, online analytics is a natural extension to all that and so that’s the branch that I am growing now.

Some of the other training I have is in internet marketing, social media marketing, copywriting, computer programming, and developing and facilitating online courses. You can find more formal information on all of that here.

After moving several times around Canada, I have settled in Edmonton, Alberta where most of my family lives. The beauty of the internet is that I can move wherever I get the fancy to move and it’s still business as usual. I have to tell you, that excites me to no end! I have lived in six provinces now and loved each one for very different reasons. But the best part of all that moving is the fine and eclectic collection of friends I’ve made. And, bless their hearts, they all support me by subscribing to my newsletter, in which they have absolutely no interest.

You however, may be interested so the newsletter signup box is just to your right and up a bit. :) And if you have any questions, would like more information, or just want to say hello – you can reach me through a variety of ways on my contact page. I would love to hear from you.

GrowthWho is Ivy?

Sorry, there’s no actual person named Ivy here. It’s just a word I wanted to use in my business name.  I thought it would honour my grandmother.  Her name was Ina Verona and I thought I might use her initials, IV, but a long list of intravenous sites filled the top of the search engine listings. So I settled on “Ivy” instead. A tribute to a lovely lady who tried to experience all the things life had to offer her.
